FOSTER CARE

PCC Stride, Inc. provides twenty-four hour, seven days a week crisis intervention and emergency response services to youth and treatment foster parents, preventing disruption of placements and potential removal of a youth from a foster home. We place youth in structured, nurturing and licensed therapeutic foster homes within a 25 mile radius of the District of Columbia. The treatment families are recruited, trained and licensed by our agency. We provide in home social work and case management services to support the youth and families.

Services include but are not limited to coordinating youth family team meetings, advocacy on behalf of the youth and families, supportive counseling, life skills coaching and mentoring and referral to community services, i.e., individual and family therapy, tutoring, GED and vocational training and employment services. Services are highly individualized and intensive. Services are family focused, community based, culturally sensitive, team based and strength based.

We provide clinical services, case management, mentoring, group therapy, crisis intervention and supportive services to children, youth and families with emotional, behavioral, medical and psychological problems.
